Here is a short overview about the main features of Note Everything.
There is much more to explore and expect. Just give it a try and play around with the preferences to fit your needs.
In Note Everything you can create different note types in one application:
Text notes for usual text notes.
Voice notes to quickly record your thoughts without having to type them.
Paint notes for quick drawings with your finger. Supporting different pen sizes and colors.
You can create as many folders as you like to organize your notes. You can also move notes between the folders.
And if simple folders are not enough for your needs, you can optionally use subfolders.
Note Everything has a built in recycle bin that is enabled by default. So if you delete a note, it is not completely gone (until you empty the recycle bin). So if you accidentally deleted it, you can just move it back to your desired folder.
Note Everything supports the usual sharing between Android apps. So you can send your notes to other apps like Mail clients, Twitter clients, text messages and many more.
You can also send your notes directly to your calendar. So if you would like to have a corresponding calendar entry to your note, the title & body are handed over to the calendar app (no sync).
Supports the stock Android Calendar, HTC Calendar, Motorola Exchange Calendar.
Note Everything also acts as a receiver of data in your Android device. So you can use the send functionality of other apps to create a note. For example share the link of a website in browser and select Note Everything as target to create a note with that link.
You can search your notes. From the app itself or the global Quick Search Box (QSB) on your home screen (you have to enable it in the search settings of your device).
So you can find the wanted note very easily.
You have very long notes and are searching for an occurence of a text? No problem, use the in-note-search of Note Everything to get all occurences highlighted and move between them.
With Note Everything you can use Wiki like links between notes.
Just write a word in WikiStyle within your note and enable WikiWords. Then all these words turn into links and you can click them to get to the linked note.
Of course Note Everything also supports other linkification like phone numbers, email addresses, websites, map addresses. Just enable it, to be able to click on these things.
You can add a quick note widget to your homescreen to quickly add new note (text & voice) or open the app.
You can also add a shortcut for a quick new note to your statusbar. So you can reach it from everywhere on your phone.
You can make use of the live folders of Android to quickly access a Note Everything folder from your home screen.
Swipe to right in the notes list to start multiselect mode. So you can select more than one note for batch processing (move & delete).
Note Everything is very highly customizable.
You can choose how the app starts, which features you want to use, the sort orders, light or dark theme, date format, font sizes, row sizes and much more.
If you want to prevent accidentally changes to your notes, you can activate the read-only mode. That will open your notes in a read-only mode where you can only read, select text and click links, but not change it.
If you like it, Note Everything saves the cursor position of your last editing and restores it on opening. So you can go on with your text on the last position without searching and scrolling.
You can convert the most notes to the most other types. For example if you have a voice note and transcribed it to text, you can convert the note to a simple text note.
Note Everything seemlessly integrates the ZXing barcode scanner (available in Android Market or on their website) to share your notes via barcode or scan barcodes into your notes.
The note editing view has a little clip to open the infobar. The infobar keeps further informations of the note as the creation and modification date & folder name.
If you previously used a Palm or a Windows Mobile phone, you might want to take your old notes to your new device.
So Note Everything is able to import your notes from Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook.
With the Pro add-on you can create simple checklist notes. The notes contains a list of items that can be checked or unchecked.
Another useful note type is the durable checklist.
This checklist keeps also a list of items, but these can have 3 states. All, Need and Done. So you can reuse this list for example for a shopping list.
The list keeps all your groceries you ever need(ed). Then move the items you need for your next shopping to the need list. And while shopping check the items you already have in your basket to the done list.
You can also use Note Everything to capture things in your surroundings. Just take a picture of something and add some notes to it.
If you have already an image on your device that should get some notes, you can do it also with Note Everything. Just create a gallery note, pick an image from your gallery and it is linked to the note.
You can also use Note Everything to capture things in your surroundings. Just take a video of something and add some notes to it.
There are things you want to get reminded of. No problem with Note Everything. Just add a reminder to your note at a specific date.
You can use statusbar notifications or an alarm-clock-like alarm dialog with snooze option.
If you have very confidential notes on your device, you might want to know them secure.
With Note Everything you can encrypt every note on its own with its own password and a AES 128 bit encryption. So it is not only access protected by the app (like in other apps, so it could still be read out of the database), but it is really encrypted and should be very secure.
Very important or often used notes can also be pinned to your statusbar, so you can reach them from every app on your device.
The Pro add-on supports a full backup of your Note Everything data and settings. You can manually start a backup or you can set up automated scheduled backups on a daily or weekly basis.
To make shopping with Note Everything more convenient, you can keep the phone on when you are in a checklist on a need-tab. So you can shop and check everything you needed without the need to unlock your phone every time.
